( Read more... )pensneststrippedThis icon was a lot easier to make than it seems like it should be. Writing the tutorial in a way that shows the steps is actually more complicated. :) The icon was created using Photoshop CS4.

However, I cannot get to the Upload page today, so I'm going to give you all the url to this week's challenge picture instead.

This icon was made in PS CS3 on a Mac. It uses a couple of filters, which may not be exactly translatable.
This challenge proved to be a lot harder than I expected! Really, there's quite an art to choosing pictures for an icontest, and I'm still very hit and miss. Ah well, it is supposed to be a *challenge*.
