Okay, everyone, as you've probably realised, time's up on this challenge comunity. It's had its day, so I'm not going to struggle on begging for entries, etc.

Thank you, everyone who participated, whether as contestant or voter. I hope you enjoyed it and that you learned something, too.

I didn't participate, but I did plan to at some point, because if nothing else, I really like to give tutorials. And the idea of actually trying to do something for every entry was appealing.

However, I totally understand why you're not wanting to do this any more. I wonder if it could work with a change to the rules? I'm not quite sure what, off-hand, though maybe others could suggest something.

[edit: I actually had some good ideas on #112, but didn't want to try doing anything during the actual time because it seemed like a steep jump. But there was also nowhere to do it after #112, since everybody was onto #113 and such. (Well, obviously not everyone, but still, that's what it felt like.)

Maybe this comm needs more people in it, too. It doesn't seem to have very many right now.]

Even thought I never participated (cause I'm really not able to write a tutorial) it would be very sad to see this comm closed. It was such a brilliant idea to have a tutorial with the winning icons. To get explained how differently one picture was manipulated to achieve a certain look was just great.
But I understand that you get tired of trying to keep the comm running if nobody participates.
But maybe promoting at other comms or icontest_promo on LJ could peak peoples interest.
Other than that I really don't know what to do.

I'm just sorry that I've been off the internet, because I loved participating.

Maybe not so often? I really felt overwhelmed sometimes with how short a period of time there was between challenges.
