No entries at all so far for Challenge #119, so I'm going to extend it for another week. I think it seems best to switch to fortnight-long challenges, in the hope that more of you will have time to make some entries. So you have until Saturday October 1st (midnight-your-time) to enter.

Meanwhile, don't forget that I'm asking for images you think would make fun icon challenge source pics—post your contribution(s) here.

The icon was made in PS5, but is pretty simple, mostly involving some masks, gradient map, blurring and Levels.

And now, I think I need to ask for your help. I'm obviously not doing a great job of finding images that inspire lots of you to make icon entries. I admit that I sometimes find them harder to icon than I expected to, but that's part of the challenge... isn't it?

Anyway, what I would like to do is to ask you to find an image that you think would be a good source image for a future severalplums challenge, and post either the image, or a link to it (please make sure it's not in a locked community), in comments here. I'll use as many as I can. It doesn't matter what kind of image you come up with (caveat: no porn!), and I'd be particularly pleased to have animé and screencaps of TV shows I don't know—and, really, anything you think would be interesting to icon. A HQ image is best, if you can manage it.

I'd love to have a good bunch of images to add to my stockpile, so please, if you can, comment with something.

Hi all, sorry to be a bit late with today's update.

I'm not posting another challenge today as I still have faith that some of you will be inspired by the picture in Challenge #117. Even if you don't know or care who Posh and Becks are, it's a nice picture, so you'll find something to do with it, right?

Entries are due by the time I get to my computer on Sunday 11th, or midnight-your-time.

If you have not yet voted for Challenge #116, you have until first thing tomorrow morning.

And entries are awaited for Challenge #117. Nobody has entered so far, including me. :-(

Right, back to the more conventional style of challenge for this week.

Right, so the voting is done on Challenge #115, and I'll be posting results this evening, but while I do the banners, how about your thoughts on this challenge.

Did you enjoy having to find your own images? Was it a theme that you found appealing?

When it came to voting, is it harder to vote where the icons are not all derived from the same images so that you're not comparing directly? Do your personal voting criteria change, with this kind of variety available?
