Thanks to my Resident Expert's habit of keeping Stuff in the loft, I have a new graphics card and consequently can see the screen on the Big Computer. So a big thank-you to the people who volunteered to make banners, but I didn't need you after all.

While I was doing the banner, I thought I might as well investigate the icon, so here's the tutorial. Icon was made in PS CS5 on a Mac, uses gradient and gradient maps.
